Set on the banks of the River Clyde, Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city and is renowned for its culture and vibrant style. Glasgow Cathedral stands majestically in the heart of city. It is the only medieval cathedral on the Scottish mainland to have survived the Protestant Reformation of 1560. The splendid achievements of the architects and builders of those far off days can be studied and admired. However not everything is old, the Cathedral has one of the finest post-war collections of stained glass windows to be found in Britain.
